FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, DC--Capitol Partners, a middle market focused private equity firm, has announced the acquisition, through its CareSouth Health System platform company, of Rutherford Polk McDowell (RPM) Health District home health agency in western North Carolina. The acquisition marks the third CareSouth home health agency in North Carolina and is a component of the company’s strategic plan of growth through acquisition and development. With the acquisition of the RPM home health agency, CareSouth is expanding its geographic reach well into western North Carolina.
Acquiring this Marion-based home health agency and its extensive coverage area is consistent with the strategic growth efforts of CareSouth in North Carolina and the southeast. According to T.J. Jubeir, managing partner of the private equity firm,"This acquisition continues to build upon our established homecare foundation, further extends our service offering into western North Carolina, and further solidifies our already strong position in the southeast in general and North Carolina in particular."
“The RPM Health District has done an excellent job working with the community,” said Rick Griffin, CareSouth Chief Executive Officer and President. “We intend to maintain that community spirit while allowing for more growth and opportunities within the home health care field. With the current climate in healthcare, we are more excited than ever that we are able to expand CareSouth’s home health care services in North Carolina.”
CareSouth is one of the country’s largest providers of home health care services. Headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, the company operates Medicare certified home health agencies with now 40 locations in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
